Norwegian Seafood Parent-Child Cooking Classes Held

On August 20 in Toyama Prefecture, hosted by Albis Co., Ltd., and on August 23 in Osaka Prefecture, hosted by Mandai Co., Ltd., the “Norwegian Seafood Parent-Child Cooking Class” was successfully held.

We welcomed Mr. Fredrik Hald from Norway’s Lerøy Seafood Group, a chef who has been awarded Norway’s Chef of the Year. Together with families selected by lottery, participants cooked dishes using Aurora Salmon and other Norwegian seafood.

After learning about Norway’s geography, unique features, and the distribution route of Norwegian salmon to Japan, participants watched a cooking demonstration by Mr. Hald and learned various cooking techniques. Families prepared three dishes: “Aurora Salmon Tartare,” “Aurora Salmon with Leek and Potato Sauce,” and a dish using Norwegian mackerel.

At the end of the class, Mr. Hald personally handed a certificate of completion to each participant. As a commemorative gift, Aurora Salmon and goods featuring the Aurora Bear were presented.
