Chairman Yoneda Donates 100 Million Yen to the Kyoto Shimbun Social Welfare Organization

On October 23, Chairman Yoneda made a donation of 100 million yen to the Kyoto Shimbun Social Welfare Organization with the aim of supporting the healthy growth and future of children.
The funds will be used to assist child welfare facilities and single-parent households in Kyoto and Shiga prefectures.

In response to this donation, the organization has established a new fund, the Ocean Smile Children’s Future Project.
Current proposals include donating hybrid vehicles to all 17 child welfare facilities in the Kyoto-Shiga region and inviting approximately 1,000 children and staff members from these facilities to Universal Studios Japan in March 2026.
Additionally, around 1,800 single-parent households in the region will receive meal vouchers worth 10,000 yen for conveyor-belt sushi restaurants.

Last year, Yoneda also made a personal donation of over 50 million yen to the organization, continuing his commitment to social contribution activities that support local communities and children who will shape the future.
Our company will continue to value its connection with the community and promote initiatives that contribute to society.

The donation ceremony was featured in the Kyoto Shimbun on October 24, 2025 (page 20).
