New Employee Training Conducted with a Reporter from The Kyoto Shimbun

On April 8, we conducted a training session for new employees on information gathering and communication methods essential for business, inviting a reporter from The Kyoto Shimbun as a lecturer.

As trading company professionals, new employees are required to develop the ability to collect a wide range of information from around the world.
This training program is held annually with the aim of helping participants learn effective methods of gathering and disseminating information through newspapers—one of the valuable tools for reliable information—and apply these skills to their future work.
In this session, the lecturer explained how newspaper articles are created through reporting and editorial processes, as well as the importance of information reliability.
In recent years, web-based information gathering has become the norm, and many new employees have had limited opportunities to read newspapers.
After attending the training, participants commented that they “learned how to read newspapers effectively” and “would like to make use of newspapers as a reliable source of verified information,” indicating strong potential for applying these skills in their work going forward.

The training session was also featured in Kyoto Shimbun Digital dated April 8, 2026.

Going forward, we will continue to actively engage in education and training initiatives aimed at supporting the growth and development of each employee.
