FEGASQUE Community Support Event Held in Chile

From October 5 to 9, “FEGASQUE,” an event organized by our business partner Deep Sea Food (DSF), was held in the city of Queilén, Chile.
The event was first launched in 2017 through the initiative of DSF President Guillermo and marked its 10th edition this year.
In Queilén, there are still many families facing economic hardships, and some young people, despite their strong desire to learn, have limited access to educational opportunities.
FEGASQUE is held annually to support the education of these young people while also expressing appreciation to employees working at local seafood processing plants.
President Guillermo himself overcame significant hardships during his youth, persevering through poverty to build the successful business he leads today.
Drawing from these experiences, he has a strong commitment to creating opportunities for motivated young people who may lack favorable circumstances.
This conviction has inspired him to continue hosting the event each year.
Sharing President Guillermo’s vision of empowering young people and contributing to the local community, Ocean Trading has proudly sponsored FEGASQUE since 2023.
During the event, renowned chefs invited from around the world set up food stalls throughout the city and served complimentary meals to visitors.
Special classes were also held at a local culinary school, providing students with a valuable opportunity to learn directly from world-class chefs and experience their skills firsthand.
We will continue to strengthen relationships of trust with suppliers around the world while actively supporting initiatives that contribute to local communities.
